At The Gem Maker, we create fine, contemporary jewellery with precious and semi-precious gemstones, in organic arrangements.
Our gemstones are 100% natural which makes each piece truly unique in colour, shape and organic design.
What is your jewellery made of?
Our jewellery is made from sterling silver, with the option of 2 microns of rose gold or yellow gold plating. At 2 microns, our plating is 20-30 times thicker than normal gold plating, and therefore, will last years.
We use a range of beautiful gemstones such as ruby, sapphire, rose quartz, amethyst, aquamarine and topaz.
How long does my order take to make?
Due to popular demand, our earrings and necklaces are ready-made and shipped within 1-3 business days.
All other items are made to order, which takes around 2 weeks prior to shipping.
If your order is urgent, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your required timings. We will come back to you within 2 hours.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic orders (Australia) are shipped via Express Post. This takes 1+ business days, in addition to production times.
International orders (outside of Australia) are shipped via Australia Post Standard Shipping with complimentary tracking. Suggested timings are 6-10 business days.
Note, we are dependent on Australia Post meeting their timing estimates. Unforeseen circumstances may affect actual delivery times.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes. Our items are lovingly handcrafted and come in an original pink box, perfect for gifting.
All orders are packed with care to ensure a safe arrival to your doorstep.
Do you do custom orders?
Yes. All of our jewellery is customisable for your preference of gemstone and metal (sterling silver, rose gold vermeil, yellow gold vermeil or solid gold).
Please allow 2-3 weeks for custom orders.

How should I take care of my jewellery?
It is important to remove items prior to sleeping, showering and swimming.
For rose gold, please avoid contact with perfumes, moisturisers and harsh chemicals.
After wearing, wipe your jewellery gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth and store away. Buff gently to avoid scratching the outer layer of the metal and the raw gemstones.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Yes. We pride ourselves in creating beautiful, quality pieces of jewellery.
If you are not happy with any of our items*, we will offer you a FULL refund on items purchased within 30 days of delivery.
*Earrings are non-refundable due to hygienic purposes and custom orders are non-refundable unless they are deemed faulty.
How to make a return or exchange:
1. Email us at email@example.com within 28 days of delivery.
Please quote your order number, whether you are requesting a return or exchange, as well as the reason for the return. We will respond within 24 hours.
2. When returning item/s please ensure they adhere to the conditions below:
Items must be in perfect, unworn condition, fit for resale, and sent in original packaging along with proof of purchase.
Items must be sent for return or exchange within 30 days of delivery.

Refunds will be provided onto the same payment method as the original order.
You will be responsible for the return shipping costs. We recommend a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. If we do not receive your returned items, unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for these items.
